For this edition of our candidate interviews, we spoke with Daniel Engelbrecht about his journey, job search and superlatives of MoBerries – but check it out yourself!
Describe yourself / Tell us about yourself
I‘m Daniel, 26 years old and love Marketing! Currently I‘m living and working in Berlin. On my way of life, so far, I passed many stations, like Hamburg, Vienna, Beverly (UK) & San Diego (CA/USA), but nothing came near to Berlin, so I moved back to finish my Bachelors Degree in International Business Management because Berlin is simply the best! When I am not in front of my laptop doing some work stuff or watching Netflix I like to hang out with my friends, have a nice evening at my favourite cocktailbar or just play a game of chess against my roommate.
How did you end up doing this job or when was the moment you knew this is what I want to do
The first question is pretty easy answered – It was you guys (!) who found me the Job at which I was working for more than 2 years now! The moment I knew that this was the job I wanted to do was about 2-3 weeks into the job it just hit me how much fun I was having at work, this to me was priceless.
Would you rather be rich and miserable or poor and happy ?
What about rich and happy? If that‘s not an option, I would go for the happy-part, because a happy smile is the best outfit you can wear.
What other platforms did you use when looking for a job and how is MoBerries different, what makes it better for you?
In addition to MoBerries I tried the typical job sites like „monster“. But sending out Emails with my resume and waiting for a reply was just not good enough at this time. So I quit the typical job search und focused on MoBerries. I liked how the job vacancies were matched to my interactions on the MoBerries platform – so much easier than searching hundreds of websites just to find one vacancy – Eventually it was like someone else was sourcing the job for me. Correct me if I am wrong, but it just took 2-3 days to land my first job interview. That first job interview actually got me the job I was doing and loving for more than 2 years. So big props to MoBerries for giving job seekers the chance to get their dream job!
Sum up MoBerries in 4 words
Let’s make it three words and an exclamation mark: Good, Better, MoBerries! | Mo‘Jobs, Mo‘Money – MoBerries! | all-in-one-solution
Would you rather be able to read or be able to read minds (but be illiterate)?
I would stick with the being able to read part – worked out nicely for me in the past years and for that „never change a winning team“.
Thanks, Daniel, for sharing your candidate story!
